Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of hand and power tools.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in both commercial and residential settings
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Conduct inspections to identify faults or potential issues within plumbing systems
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or repairs
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely as required
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and systems during new installations or renovations
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic carpentry skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and associated machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards. A background in welding, assembly work, or experience with heavy machinery will be considered advantageous. All roles are paid positions within our organisation.
Pay: £25,505.94-£45,817.78 per year
