Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to support children's recreational activities in a vibrant community setting. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can develop social skills, creativity, and confidence. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and child development, with a focus on delivering enjoyable and educational play experiences.Term time hours, 7.30-9.00am. 2.30-6.00pm. School holidays, 25 plus hours.
Responsibilities
- Organise and supervise play activities suitable for children of various ages, ensuring all activities are safe and inclusive.
- Support children in engaging with organised games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Foster positive behaviour and encourage social interaction among children.
- Maintain a clean and safe play environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with the organisation of special events or themed activities as required.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support children with their individual needs, including those requiring additional supervision or assistance.
Experience
- Prior experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, or similar roles. enthusiasm and a caring attitude are important
- Experience working with children in organised settings will be considered an asset. This role offers an enriching environment for those passionate about working with children, providing valuable experience in childcare and educational activities within a supportive team.
Pay: £13.21 per hour
