We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Care Supervisor who is passionate about delivering outstanding care whilst inspiring and developing others. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Carer or Care Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive, forward-thinking care home.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Your primary focus will be providing excellent person-centred care whilst leading your team through each shift. Alongside your care responsibilities, you'll receive dedicated administrative time to complete supervisory duties including staff development, care planning, quality audits and compliance activities.
What you'll be doing
You'll be trusted to lead shifts confidently whilst ensuring residents receive exceptional care and your team feel supported every step of the way.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating shifts to ensure safe, effective care.
- Supporting, mentoring and developing Care Assistants.
- Inducting new team members and completing competency assessments.
- Delivering staff supervision, one-to-one meetings and appraisals.
- Completing care plans and risk assessments.
- Carrying out medication, Health & Safety and quality audits.
- Working alongside GPs, District Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Leading professional visits and resident appointments.
- Supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Participating in the on-call rota.
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who naturally leads by example and enjoys helping others develop.
You'll have:
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent).
- Experience leading shifts within a residential care setting.
- Medication competency.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A good understanding of CQC standards and person-centred care.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care.
