Job Summary
Gilbert Pharmacy & Health Clinic is a newly established pharmacy in Paisley and we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented qualified Pharmacy dispenser /technician/ACTs to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients and help deliver NHS and private services.
This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to pharmacy regulations.
As a Pharmacy professional, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients helping to ensure the success of the pharmacy.
Full time hours accross 6 days is required with alternate half day Working Hours:Full-time (40 hours per week). The rota includes alternate Saturday mornings (9:00 am–1:00 pm). Employees working a Saturday morning will receive a half-day off during the same week.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and patient safety standards according to GPhC standards.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and inventory levels, ensuring stock is replenished as necessary In line with company procedures ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care and medication administration.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support patient care initiatives by providing excellent customer service and addressing any patient inquiries or concerns helping to build patient loyalty.
- Work closely with the owner and other team members to ensure efficient deliver of both NHS and private services
Requirements
- Dispensary qualification Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician is essential.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and pharmacy practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
- Right to work in the UK.
