Veterinary Receptionist
Rosevean Veterinary Practice, Penzance
Are you an experienced Receptionist or Administrator looking for a new challenge? Perhaps you’re ready for a change of direction and would love the opportunity to step into a rewarding role where every day makes a difference?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Rosevean Veterinary Practice in Penzance.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be much more than the first friendly face our clients see — you’ll be a vital part of the team and play an important role in helping our practice run smoothly.
You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients and their Pets, Horses and Farm Animals, providing a warm, professional and compassionate service from the moment they walk through our doors or pick up the phone.
What will you be doing?
Your day-to-day role will be varied and will include:
- Welcoming clients and their animals to the practice
- Answering and managing telephone enquiries
- Booking and coordinating appointments
- Processing medication requests
- Providing a consistently high level of customer service
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Carrying out a range of administrative and office-based tasks
- Supporting the wider practice team and helping to keep everything running efficiently behind the scenes
This is a role with a strong administrative focus, so good IT skills and confidence using computer systems are desirable. Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in a veterinary practice before — full training will be provided on our systems and processes.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- A confident and clear communicator
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Reliable, hardworking and committed
- Compassionate and able to deal sensitively with clients
- Confident with IT and administrative tasks
- A genuine team player who enjoys working with others
Previous experience in a Veterinary Reception role would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
Full-time – 40 hours per week
There will also be a requirement to work the occasional Saturday morning, on a pre-set rota basis.
Why join Rosevean?
This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a progressive and caring veterinary practice where the wellbeing of our clients, their animals and our team is at the heart of everything we do.
If you’re looking for a role where you can use your organisational and people skills while becoming part of a supportive veterinary team, we’d love to hear from you.
If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, please apply with your CV and a covering letter.
We look forward to hearing from you!
