Full-Time Nanny / Housekeeper / Family Assistant
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30pm | Cotswolds (with some flexibility)
£35,000–£39,000 depending on experience
We are a busy family looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Nanny/Housekeeper/Family Assistant to help with the day-to-day running of our family home.
All of our children are school age, with our youngest starting school this September, so during term time the role will be predominantly focused on keeping the household running smoothly between school runs. During the school holidays, the role will naturally become more childcare-focused.
This isn't quite a traditional nanny role and isn't simply a cleaning position either. We're really looking for an extra pair of hands — someone who enjoys being part of a family home, can see what needs doing and is happy to get stuck in.
During term time, the role would include:
- School runs/ club runs
- Keeping the house generally clean, tidy and organised
- Laundry and ironing
- Changing beds
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Keeping on top of the kitchen and emptying/loading the dishwasher
- General household tidying and resetting rooms
- Rotating household jobs such as washing cushion covers, organising cupboards and sorting children's clothes
- Food shopping and occasional errands
- Preparing/cooking family meals
- Keeping an eye on household essentials and letting us know when things are running low
- Generally helping to keep a busy family home organised and running smoothly
During school holidays:
The role would become more childcare-focused, including looking after the children, preparing meals, taking them to activities/days out and keeping them entertained, alongside keeping on top of the everyday household jobs.
We're looking for someone who is warm, trustworthy and good with children, but equally someone who is naturally organised and proactive.
The ideal person won't need a daily list of jobs — we'd love someone who can walk into the kitchen, spot that the dishwasher needs emptying or the washing needs putting on, and simply get on with it.
You would need to be a confident driver and comfortable doing school runs and taking the children to activities.
We're hoping to find someone long-term who can become a trusted and valued part of our family's everyday life.
