Retail Shift Leader - Braintree Village
WE’RE OPENING AT BRAINTREE VILLAGE!
Want to be part of something a little different?
Krispy Kreme is bringing our iconic Rocket Store to Braintree Village, and we’re looking for a confident, hands-on Retail Shift Leader to help lead the crew.
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7
This isn’t your average leadership role.
Our Rocket Store is a one-of-a-kind, retro silver caravan serving up our world-famous doughnuts, barista-made coffee and sweet treats in one of Essex’s best-known shopping destinations. It’s fast-paced, fun and full of personality – and you’ll be the person who helps keep every shift running smoothly.
As Retail Shift Leader, you’ll:
Lead shift briefings, set clear priorities and create a positive, energetic atmosphere.
Take responsibility for operating the Rocket independently during periods of lone working.
Coach and support Team Members so they feel confident and understand what great looks like.
Deliver outstanding customer service and handle difficult situations professionally.
Ensure our high standards for product quality, food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness are consistently maintained.
Share daily sales targets, encourage great selling behaviours and help the team control waste and costs.
Complete opening and closing routines, including till reconciliation, payment system checks and daily paperwork.
Keep the Rocket clean, stocked, organised and ready for lift-off.
Lead by example and step in to support the team whenever needed.
Lone working and the outdoor environment:
Lone working is a significant part of this role. You’ll regularly be responsible for operating the Rocket independently, including opening or closing the store, serving customers, managing priorities and following all safety and security procedures without another team member on site.
You’ll need to be confident making decisions, managing busy periods and knowing when to contact a manager for support. As the Rocket is an outdoor store, you must also be comfortable working in all kinds of British weather.
Because of the lone-working responsibilities involved, applicants must be 18 years or over.
You’ll be a natural team player who communicates clearly, treats people with respect and enjoys helping others succeed. You’ll also need the flexibility to work a minimum of 30 hours per week across any 5 days out of 7, in line with the store’s opening hours.
