About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated purchasingRepresentative to source and purchase scrap UPVC material from skip companies, waste management firms, and commercial recycling providers.
You will be responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers and securing consistent volumes of recyclable UPVC materials including offcuts, window frames, and regrind suitable for processing and resale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and contact skip companies and waste management firms
- Negotiate purchase prices for scrap UPVC materials
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships
- Secure regular and reliable material supply
- Track available volumes and coordinate collections
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers and pricing agreements
Requirements:
- Previous sales or procurement experience (recycling/waste industry preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Confident in cold calling and building new business relationships
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Full UK driving licence preferred
