Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. Duties
- Build trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and guidance tailored to their individual needs
- Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, medication, and recreational activities
- Implement and review care plans designed to promote personal development and wellbeing
- Support children in developing social skills, independence, and life skills through engaging activities
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings safely using company vehicles when required
- Monitor and record progress by maintaining accurate documentation of each child's development and behaviour
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child
Skills
- Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively listen, advise, and build rapport with young people and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting approaches as needed for individual circumstances
- Valid driving license with experience driving safely in various conditions is preferred
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within a team environment
- Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and best practices in residential care

Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
