Hours: 44 hours per week (4 shifts)
Salary: 14.95 - 15.95per hour (dependent on whether working day or night)
Shift Pattern: both day and nightcontracts available (either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)
We are seekingexperienced and compassionateSenior Care Assistantsto join our night team at Manor Park Care Home in the heart of Malton.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take a lead role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents. You'll support and guide thecare team, respond to residents' needs, and ensure a calm, secure environment throughout the day or night.
Key Responsibilities.
Lead the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Administer medication safely and in accordance with care plans and policies.
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, responding promptly to any changes.
Provide personal care and support with dignity and respect.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of care records and handovers.
Support and mentorstaff, promoting best practices and teamwork.
Carry out regular checks and ensure the home remains safe and secure (particularly on night shifts)
Liaise with on-call management or healthcare professionals when necessary.
Prepare the home for the following day/night, including light housekeeping and documentation.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally in a residential or nursing home.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
A calm, compassionate, and professional approach
Confidence in administering medication and using care systems.
