Chamberlain McBain is a well-established paralegal firm providing professional services alongside supporting meaningful community initiatives. In addition to our core business activities, we proudly manage administration for the School Mock Court Case Project SCIO, a charity-focused programme aimed at educating and engaging young people in the legal system.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts and Project Administrator to support both our financial operations and project delivery. This is a varied role combining accounting support, office administration, and involvement in a community-focused project.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Manage credit control processes and follow up on outstanding payments
- Raise and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle day-to-day banking activities and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Administration
- Maintain organised record-keeping systems (digital and physical)
- Provide general office administrative support
- Assist with internal processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a point of contact for client enquiries
- Maintain professional and timely communication with clients and partners
Project Support – School Mock Court Case Project
- Assist with communications for the charity project
- Support project planning and coordination
- Help with execution of events and project activities
- Liaise with schools, volunteers, and stakeholders
About You
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Experience in accounts administration or similar role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Desirable (but not essential):
- Interest in marketing or communications
- Experience supporting projects or events
- Familiarity with accounting software
