Leeds Trinity University is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Vice-Chancellor. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the University, providing proactive, professional and highly effective executive support to the Vice-Chancellor. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate needs before they arise, and has the confidence and credibility to act as a trusted partner and representative of the Vice-Chancellor.
About the Role
As Executive Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, you will be responsible for managing a complex and demanding workload, ensuring the Vice-Chancellor is fully briefed, appropriately supported and able to focus on the University's strategic priorities. This role requires someone who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, discretion and professionalism whilst building strong relationships across the institution and with external stakeholders.
You will:
- Provide comprehensive executive support to the Vice-Chancellor, acting with initiative and sound judgement.
- Manage a complex diary, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated and time is utilised efficiently.
- Prepare high-quality agendas, reports, briefings, presentations and committee papers.
- Research, prioritise and follow up on key issues, ensuring the Vice-Chancellor is fully prepared for meetings and engagements.
- Act as a key point of contact, developing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support, coordinate and lead projects on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor where appropriate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalisation of ways of working
About You
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who:
- Is exceptionally organised, proactive and resourceful.
- Anticipates issues and acts before problems arise.
- Has outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- Can quickly establish credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Demonstrates excellent judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
- Is resilient, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Has experience supporting senior executives in a complex organisation.
You will provide seamless support, ensuring priorities are effectively managed across the University.
Working Arrangements
Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to work on campus whenever the Vice-Chancellor is present, whether at our Horsforth Campus or Leeds City Campus. Flexibility, responsiveness and a visible on-campus presence are essential to the success of this position.
