Restaurant Supervisor | Zacry's - Watergate Bay Hotel
Where exceptional hospitality comes naturally.
Perched above the shoreline of Watergate Bay, Zacry's is a restaurant shaped by its surroundings. Expansive Atlantic views, an intimate dining room and an open kitchen set the stage for an experience that's refined without ever feeling formal.
Our menus celebrate the best of Cornwall's land and sea, championing exceptional local producers and seasonal ingredients through thoughtful, modern cooking. Every dish is served with the same philosophy that defines everything we do: genuine warmth, quiet confidence and an unwavering attention to detail.
Recognised by the Michelin Guide, Zacry's has built a reputation for delivering memorable dining experiences that are as much about people as they are about the food. Service here isn't scripted or theatrical. It's knowledgeable, intuitive and personal, creating moments that feel effortless for our guests and rewarding for the team behind them.
As part of Watergate Bay Hotel, you'll also be joining a business built around sharing the joy of this extraordinary place with our guests, our team, our community and the coastline we're fortunate enough to call home.
Our role
We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our front of house team.
This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in hospitality. Someone who instinctively notices the details others miss, enjoys building rapport with guests and understands that exceptional service is about creating an atmosphere as much as it is delivering food and drink.
Working closely with our chefs and front of house team, you'll help to deliver seamless service throughout our restaurant. You'll confidently guide guests through seasonal menus and share the stories behind our ingredients and suppliers, creating an experience that's polished and personal.
You'll also support our wider team by leading from the floor, supporting team, and helping to maintain the consistently high standards that define Zacry's. Whether welcoming returning guests, supporting a busy service or stepping in to resolve challenges with professionalism and care, you'll play an important part in creating the kind of dining experience people return for time and again.
This is a full-time position and comes with some great extras, including free surfing lessons and a wide range of team benefits. We also have a part-time role available.

Maintaining a current knowledge of our menus and sharing this with both guests and team.
-
Ensuring the continued smooth running of the restaurant across all areas.
-
Deputising for the General Restaurant Manager when required.
-
Working with our Head Chef and General Restaurant Manager to improve all aspects of our food service.
-
Assisting in the ongoing training, development and performance management of the team.
-
Managing guest complaints, requests and enquiries in a relaxed yet professional manner.
-
Facilitating a safe environment for both team and guests and adhering to the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
-
Supporting new team members through their induction, training and development.
-
Working collaboratively as part of our committed, efficient and dynamic team.
-
Following department standard operating procedures and company guidelines.
-
Adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.

A passion for delivering intuitive, thoughtful hospitality.
-
Strong food and beverage knowledge, with genuine curiosity about seasonal ingredients, provenance and wine.
-
Confidence leading a team by example and maintaining consistently high service standards.
-
Excellent guest care skills, with the ability to resolve challenges calmly and professionally.
-
A natural eye for detail and an understanding that it's often the smallest touches that leave the biggest impression.
-
Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
-
The ability to remain calm, positive and focused during busy services.
-
A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across the restaurant.
-
Confidence using hospitality technology and POS systems without compromising the guest experience.
