This part time position is for someone looking to work 3 hours, five evenings per week cleaning and maintaining the nursery while it is closed, ideally 5.30 - 8.30pm.
Purpose of post
- To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
Key areas
- Develop routines to ensure all areas of the nursery are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Main duties
- Empty and wash out bins in all rooms
- Tidy and dust staff room
- Tidy and dust office
- Damp dust nursery rooms
- Vacuum carpets and floors
- Clean nursery toilets, staff toilets and all hand basins
- Wash floors in kitchen, dining room, bathroom and nursery
- Clean the inside of the windows
- Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the Manager
- Lock or unlock the building securely
- Ensure that all risk assessments and safety precautions are fully implemented
- Undertake any other duties as may be required from time-to-time.
