Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with expertise in various techniques and tools. The candidate must also be capable of producing a wide variety of high quality fabricated parts to precise tolerances, specifications and standards. Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welding (for aluminium, mild and stainless steel and brass) to fabricate various metal components according to specifications.
- Utilise fixed plant machinery (saws, punches, rollers etc) and hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
- Perform fabrication tasks on sheet metal, ensuring precision and adherence to design requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required high standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding in aluminium, mild steel and stainless, and other welding techniques is essential.
- Experience with various hand tools and power tools used in metal fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Have the skills to know how to overcome complicated fabrications and assemblies with the use of jigs, clamps, heat sinks etc.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Ability to assemble components accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
