Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible experienced brain injury support workers to support our client. Our client is a male who is in is 5 years old lives with his family Manningtree.
Our client suffered acquired brain injury 2 years ago. Due to the complications, our client has got right below-knee amputation, he was also diagnosed with progressive profound sensorineural hearing loss. He is highly active boy. You will be working on 1:1 basis.
This role involves supporting client in his routine, ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being. Focusing on rehabilitation, structure, emotional well-being, and promoting independence.
The role will focus on providing personalised support to enhance our client’s independence, supporting with rehab structure, well- being. You will be working in close collaboration with the client’s multi-disciplinary team, the client and his family. Due to the hearing loss, knowledge of British sign language would be a benefit, however, training will be provided. Due to the client location, we are currently looking for staff who have full driving licence and have got access to their own vehicle.
In future, once the relationship is established, there might be weekends shifts.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday – Term time
06:30-08:45, 15:30-19:00
Half term –
Monday to Friday – 6h per day.
Pay
£17.00
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
- Assist individuals in accessing community to improve their quality of life.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach.
- Assist service users attend health activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day.
- The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
