Health Care Assistant - Days - 8am-8pm
Hillside Nursing Home located in the centre of Aylesbury Town provides residential support and care for up to 68 residents consisting of both younger and older adults requiring nursing residential care.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure high standards of care
- Support with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication
- Basic IT skills are required for documentation and updating care records
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude are vital for building trust with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work flexibly according to rota requirements, including some weekends or evenings if necessary
- A genuine passion for caring for others and supporting their independence
