Job Vacancy: Packaging Operative We are looking for a Packaging Operative to manage inventory and control activities on shift, ensuring efficient stock handling and communication with the Supervisor and team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage product inventory, including stock profiles and locations.
- Perform regular stock counts and accuracy checks.
- Minimise overstock and remove obsolete materials.
- Ensure materials are ready for production and meet company procedures.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies in stock management.
- Act as an internal audit on stock and assist with weekly stock profile updates.
- Keep stock areas organized and adhere to Health & Safety standards.
- Communicate production delays to the buying team.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and IT.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous packaging experience.
- Familiarity with WMS systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- FLT/PPT license.
Working hours: Multiple shifts available
- Sunday - Tuesday 10:00 AM- 22:00 PM & Wednesday 14:30 AM - 22:00 PM (23 days annual leave)
Other Information:
- Salary: £13.71 per hour. Overtime (after 42.5 hours at 125%) and unsociable hours (12:00 AM - 6:00 AM at +15%).
