We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitising of kitchen and dining areas to meet health and safety standards
- Support the serving staff by preparing tables
- Handle waste disposal efficiently, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and areas remain hygienic
- Assist with the organisation of storage areas, ensuring items are stored correctly and labelled appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness of all bar and kitchen equipment, surfaces, and floors throughout the shift
- Support team members during busy service times to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all safety procedures diligently, adhering to hygiene regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or bar environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Good understanding of serving procedures and customer service principles
- Basic maths skills for handling stock counts and transaction support
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail to uphold cleanliness standards at all times
