Overview
My client, an engineering company based in Pershore is looking to recruit a TIG welder on a Temp to Perm basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding with both aluminum and stainless steel. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision welding and assembly, contributing to high-quality product output. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum fabricatons ranging from 1.5mm to 30mm
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide welding and assembly tasks.
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning parts for welding or assembly.
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with the setup and calibration of welding equipment as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with welding techniques specific to materials and standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material handling.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience working with sheet metal, mechanical components, and small-scale assembly is desirable.
