About us
Sunrise Veterinary Surgery is an independent, RCVS-accredited small animal general practice in the picturesque village of Parbold, West Lancashire — cafes, restaurants and amenities on the doorstep, a 2-minute walk from the station (Southport–Manchester line) and minutes from the M6 and M58.
We’re a small, caring team — the vet (owner), 2 receptionists, 2 RVNs and a housekeeper — and you’d join as our second vet.
We care deeply about high-quality care and looking after our clients, and it shows: a recent Wigan Today report, based on Google reviews, named us the best small animal practice out of 13 in the area, and our clients are genuinely lovely, respectful bunch who truly care for their pets.
The kit you’ll be working with - digital x-ray and colour-flow Doppler ultrasound in a dedicated imaging suite, a full in-house lab (plus external lab access), a dedicated operating theatre with multi-parameter monitoring, orthopaedic surgical kit, an elite dental machine, twin-gas anaesthetic machines with active scavenging, spacious consult rooms with electric lift tables, and cloud-based practice management software.
Practice hours: Mon-Fri 9-11 & 4.30-6.30 - Consults; 11-4.30 operations; Saturday 9-1 consults
You’ll fit right in if you’re…
