Overview
We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven Groundcare Telesales Executive to join our sales team. Working closely with a dedicated Field Sales Partner, you will play an important role in developing sales across your territory, maintaining strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
This is a fast-paced sales role suited to someone who is confident on the telephone, organised, proactive and enjoys building relationships with customers. Experience within groundcare, agricultural machinery, agricultural equipment or a similar industry would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with your Field Sales Partner to maximise sales opportunities and develop the allocated territory.
- Maintain regular telephone contact with existing customers and potential new customers.
- Make proactive outbound sales calls and identify new business opportunities.
- Handle inbound customer enquiries via telephone, email and website.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, issue and manage customer quotations.
- Follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion.
- Obtain machinery lists and customer information to support product development and sales activity.
- Liaise with colleagues across sales, purchasing, logistics, accounts and other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Support the wider sales team with general sales and account management activities.
- Carry out any other reasonable sales-related duties as required.
Sales Targets & KPIs
- Achieve agreed sales targets in partnership with your Field Sales Partner.
- Complete a minimum of 30 outbound calls per day, including at least 5 calls to prospective customers.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and before 4:00pm.
- Proactively follow up quotations and opportunities.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and responsiveness.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in telesales, internal sales, customer service or account management.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Commercially minded with a genuine desire to generate sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs.
- Proactive approach to identifying and following up sales opportunities.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM/sales systems.
- Able to work collaboratively with field-based sales colleagues and wider internal teams.
- Groundcare, agricultural, machinery or related industry experience is desirable but not essential.
Package - £26,436 plus commission. 40 hours per week, 9.00 am – 5.30 pm with 30 minutes lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks.
