Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV2 Grab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating grab lorries to facilitate the safe and efficient collection and delivery of materials. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, with an emphasis on commercial driving experience. The ideal applicant will be organised, attentive to detail, and capable of managing various logistical tasks associated with the role.
Duties
- Operate HGV2 grab lorries fitted with epsilon cranes for loading and unloading materials.
- Safely secure loads and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations during transit.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and other road users.
Requirements
- Valid HGV2 (Category C) licence, Allmi Certificate for Clamshell , Driver CPC, Tachocard with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Grab driver .
- Experience operating grab lorries equipped with Palfinger Epsilon cranes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures in line with health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
