Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance operative to join our team. This role involves the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring that Grounds are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of horticultural knowledge and practical skills in Grounds maintenance, as well as experience with various tools and machinery
Duties
- Perform Grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, and hedge cutting.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as ride on lawnmower, chippers, and handheld equipment for various maintenance projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to get the job done safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Grounds maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
- PA1 and 6 qualifications preferred.
- A driving licence held for longer than a year is essential and must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
