Job Summary
Annyalla Chicks is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Hatchery Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the welfare of our day-old chicks while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, biosecurity, animal welfare, and health and safety throughout the hatchery.
No previous hatchery experience is required as full training will be provided. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of hatchery operations and poultry welfare at Annyalla Chicks.
- Carry out a variety of hatchery duties, including chick take-off, grading, and handling day-old chicks with care.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the hatchery, including both internal and external areas, ensuring biosecurity procedures are followed at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, industry codes of practice, and animal welfare standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Support colleagues and undertake other hatchery duties as required to meet operational needs.
Skills and Experience
- A reliable, flexible, and hardworking approach.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work early morning shifts.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, agricultural, or factory environment would be beneficial.

Pay: £13.21 per hour
