Safety Steward
(Please note this role does not require an SIA licence - however, this would be advantageous)
Role Overview
1. Ensure the safety of all spectators, stadium staff and attending staff at any event.
2. Remain vigilant and aware at all times.
3. Undertake instructions of the Safety Managers or relevant managers.
4. Adhere to the appropriate dress code and arrive in a prompt manner.
5. Attend event briefings and ensure own knowledge and understanding of role.
6. Greet and direct customers to the relevant areas of the event.
7. Report any damage or defect which is likely to pose a threat to spectator safety e.g. a damaged seat or barrier.
8. Assist as required in the evacuation of the event.
9. Be fully conversant with any methods or signals used to alert staff that an emergency has arisen.
10. Be capable of recognising potential fire hazards and suspect packages, reporting such findings immediately to the Management team.
Further Details
This role requires excellent customer service skills preferably from experience within a customer facing role. Full training is provided which will include enrolment onto a Level 2 Award in Spectator Safety. Progression within the event structure is available.
