Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, and minimise waste to optimise efficiency
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and techniques
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any faults or issues promptly
- Uphold excellent customer service standards during service times, including serving when required
Experience
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential, with a focus on high-quality service delivery
- Experience with food presentation and culinary techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining excellent customer relations within a busy kitchen setting
