We’re looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Financial Planning Assistant / Administrator to become an important part of our growing Exeter team. Ideally, you will already have experience working in financial advice, financial services, pensions, investments or a similar professional office environment. However, we would also consider someone with the right attitude, strong administration skills and a genuine desire to learn the financial advice industry.

Due to continued demand from new clients, we are looking to expand our team so we can continue to offer the level of service our clients expect.
About the Role
The role will involve working with a team of 3 looking after existing clients. You will be preparing valuation and fund information ready for upcoming meetings and ensuring clients receive a smooth, professional and friendly service.
We are ideally looking for someone part time around 3 days a week ideally 9 am to 5pm. However, for the right person, we would consider a 3 to 4 day with shorter hours if needed.
This is an office-based role in Exeter.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Financial Advisers with preparation for client reviews and follow-up actions.
- Helping with client enquiries
- Preparing and maintaining client files, ensuring all records and documents are accurate and up to date.
- Using CRM systems to manage client information and workflow.
- Supporting the wider team with general administration and office organisation.
- Helping keep the office professional, organised and client-ready.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:

- Friendly and confident when dealing with clients and other colleagues.
- Keen to learn and develop within the financial advice industry.
- Able to manage their time and prioritise work effectively.
- Comfortable working in a busy office environment.
- Good with Word, Excel, Outlook and general office systems.
- A good communicator, both written and verbal.
- Looking for a long-term opportunity rather than just a short-term role.
Experience in financial advice or financial services would be a strong advantage, but the right personality, work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.
