We are seeking a motivated and caring Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and assistance to clients in their own homes, promoting well-being, safety, and independence. Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medication accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed records.
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritious and balanced diets.
- Manage behavior effectively, especially when caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Provide assistance with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or errands safely, ensuring punctuality and comfort.
- Respond promptly to client needs, offering emotional support and companionship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and behavior management.
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care practices.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record for transportation duties.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform light physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and respectful approach.
- Friendly, naturally talkative, confident in engaging the client in conversation.
- Relevant certifications such as first aid training are preferred but not mandatory.
- Hoist experience required
