This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Band 5 Nurse to join a small, supportive, and highly skilled CNS‑led inflammatory dermatology team. You will deliver safe, effective, compassionate care for adults (and young people where service provides) with chronic inflammatory skin conditions (e.g., psoriasis, eczema, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria, autoimmune dermatoses). Working under the supervision of Dermatology CNSs and dermatology consultants and speciality doctors, you will contribute to nurse‑led clinics, pathway coordination, patient education, phototherapy support, and quality improvement. The role offers a structured preceptorship and specialist development pathway towards advanced dermatology competencies.
Provide high‑quality nursing care for patients with inflammatory skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria and autoimmune disorders. Deliver clear, patient‑centred education on disease management, trigger avoidance, treatment options and skincare. Offer ongoing support for long‑term conditions, including flare management and lifestyle guidance to promote self‑management.
Work collaboratively within a small multidisciplinary team of CNSs, dermatologists, pharmacists and administrative staff, contributing to the development and improvement of inflammatory dermatology pathways.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with NMC and NHS standards. Engage in dermatology‑specific training and demonstrate commitment to developing specialist competencies.
Provide compassionate support for the emotional and psychological impact of chronic skin disease, promoting a positive patient experience through respectful, person‑centred care.
