Duties
- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects
- Monitor project expenditures and perform cost control activities to prevent overruns
- Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes and reviewing supplier and subcontractor invoices
- Collaborate with project teams to track changes and update financial records accordingly
- Conduct site visits to gather data, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Prepare reports on project costs, variances, and financial forecasts for review by senior surveyors
- Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and other financial documentation
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of cost control principles within construction projects
- Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with industry-specific software is a plus
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
