Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (Walking Floor & Tipping Experience Essential)

We are looking for experienced and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. You will operate a dedicated, properly specified vehicle to transport non‑hazardous waste streams from our busy Transfer Station for further treatment and recycling.
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 1 LGVs
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Proven experience operating walking floor and tipping trailers (essential)
- Strong understanding of Drivers’ Hours, WTD, and Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of FORS Gold standards
- Professional communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual and safety‑focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely, professionally and in line with company standards
- Complete thorough pre‑use vehicle checks and all associated paperwork
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses or vehicle defects promptly to the Transport Manager
- Ensure full compliance with road traffic laws and EC561/2006 Drivers’ Hours rules
- Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to support continuous improvement initiatives
