About Us
Swift Robotics is a robotics and AI-focused company dedicated to building intelligent systems that bridge the gap between humans and machines. Our work spans robotics software, perception, data-driven learning, and human–robot interaction, with a strong emphasis on robust engineering, rapid experimentation, and real-world impact.
In collaboration with The Open University, Swift Robotics has also secured a grant to develop and deploy intelligent companion systems for hospitals and care homes. This project integrates advanced sensing technologies with state-of-the-art AI algorithms to enhance care, support human interaction, and improve quality of life in healthcare environments.
About the Role
The Field Sales & Business Development Representative is responsible for driving our on-the-ground outreach and building critical relationships within the UK healthcare and assisted living sectors. This role focuses on sophisticated, offline physical sales—visiting care homes, attending industry events, and acting as the face of Swift Robotics to prospective partners and clients.
All visits and events will be located across Greater London and nearby town (Milton Keynes).
This part-time position is ideal for an ambitious university student looking to gain hands-on, high-level B2B sales experience. You will not be working in a silo; you will be directly supervised and mentored by an experienced, Harvard-educated sales leader who will guide your strategy and development. The role is flexible around academic schedules but requires a proactive, on-the-ground presence.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct highly targeted, in-person outreach by visiting care homes, hospitals, and healthcare facilities across London and connected train routes to introduce our intelligent companion robots.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and healthcare conferences to generate leads and expand our network.
- Act as a professional and empathetic brand ambassador, demonstrating the value of our technology to care home managers, clinical staff, and stakeholders.
- Execute sophisticated "door-to-door" B2B sales strategies under the guidance of our senior sales leadership.
- Qualify leads, gather real-world market feedback, and share insights with our engineering and product teams to help shape future iterations.
- Maintain organized records of site visits, contacts, and follow-up actions to ensure a seamless sales pipeline.
We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled university student (Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Management, or a related field is a plus).
- Based in or near London, with the ability to travel comfortably via TfL and train networks for physical site visits and events.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to initiate conversations with senior facility managers and healthcare professionals.
- A high degree of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and sophistication suited for the elderly care and healthcare sectors.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable operating outside the office in a highly active, offline role.
- Eagerness to learn directly from top-tier sales talent and absorb high-level business development strategies.
Nice To Have
- Prior experience in sales, promotional work, field marketing, or customer-facing roles.
- An understanding of the UK care sector or previous experience interacting with healthcare environments.
- A general interest in AI, robotics, or health-tech innovation.
What We Offer
- Flexible, part-time schedule tailored to accommodate your university studies.
- Direct mentorship, training, and supervision from a highly experienced, Harvard-educated sales professional.
- Hands-on experience in complex B2B field sales within a fast-moving, cutting-edge startup.
- The opportunity to make a tangible, real-world impact on the quality of life for the elderly and healthcare staff.
- Full coverage of travel expenses (train fares, TfL travel, and event entry fees).
