Salary: £45,157 basic salary. Overtime available, paid at time and half.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturday mornings may be required.
Shifts: Early shift 07:30am – 16:00pm, Late shift13.00pm – 21.00pm. Friday late shift hours will be 11:00am to 19:00pm.

We’re looking for a fully qualified workshop technician to work as part of our team in our maintenance workshop at Carlisle Airport. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and trailers, including diagnosing vehicle defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Workshop supervisors, ensuring your time is managed efficiently and jobs are prioritised correctly
- Maintenance and Repairs of vehicles and trailers
- Diagnosing vehicle defects
- Accurate completion of documentation and worksheets/job cards
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company requirements
- Complete all necessary paperwork for company records
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and use PPE as needed
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised
- Ensure all company tools are used correctly and returned appropriately
- Assist other staff for training and development
The successful candidate will:
- Be reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated with the ability to work alone as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold a full UK driving Licence (Class C1 preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in a similar or with qualifications in Mechanical Engineering i.e. Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
- Experience in servicing and or installation of electrical and mechanical vehicle components
- Due to our rural location, applicants need to have their own transport to work.
