We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team and contribute to the service delivery of a lean, effective and accurate finance function.
Responsibilities
- Payroll - Processing weekly payroll ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Cashbook & Banking - posting bank transactions, posting weekly credit card posting and reconciliation and uploading payments to the bank for processing weekly and monthly
- Purchase Ledger - Processing of all invoices, subcontractor payments and other accounts payable on the COINS system, ensuring accurate recording of information in a systematic way.
- Sales Ledger - Code and post sales invoices for all contract, private and sundry income, reconciliation of month end SL balances and regularly chase outstanding debtors.
- Reconciliations / Adho
- Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
- Cover for other members of finance team when on annual leave or absent.
- Cover (along with other members of the finance team) for the administration team when on annual leave or absent.
- Monthly nominal ledger reconciliations.
Knowledge / Skills
- Previous experience working as a Finance assistant with an excellent understanding of Purchase Ledger
- Basic book keeping skills and an understanding of debits and credits
- Weekly payroll processing experience
- Excellent IT skills and proficient with Excel
- Experience of COINs ERP system would be advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
