Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on commercial vehicles such as trucks, vans, and specialized equipment
- Fabricate and modify vehicle components using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to accurately perform repairs and installations
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspections, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements
- Assemble new vehicle parts or equipment assemblies following detailed specifications
- Conduct equipment repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts to ensure optimal performance
- Use power tools safely and effectively during all repair and fabrication activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical systems, or mechanical repairs within a commercial vehicle setting
- Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment including excavators and forklifts is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance issues
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems effectively
