Core Responsibilities
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading the team to deliver an exceptional experience for both customers and partners by performing the following key duties:
- Operational Leadership: Take the lead on scheduled shifts, delegating tasks and providing clear direction to baristas to ensure efficient workflow, speed of service, and achievement of operational goals.
- Customer Experience: Model and coach the team on the highest standards of customer service, resolving customer issues, and ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and welcoming.
- Team Development: Coach and motivate partners on the floor, identifying "teachable moments" to develop skills in beverage quality, speed, and customer connection.
- Store Standards: Execute opening and closing procedures, maintain a consistently clean and organized store environment, and ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed
- Product Quality: Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of all beverages and food products by adhering to Starbucks recipe and quality standards.
Experience: Proven supervisory or coaching experience in a fast-paced retail, hospitality, or food service environment is beneficial.
- Customer Focus: A passion for customer service with a track record of creating a welcoming environment and resolving conflicts professionally.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Availability:
Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, which are typical for an Excel London event venue.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.21 per hour
