About the roleThe Hive London is seeking a confident, driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to generate new business across our events, filming and football facilities.Set across a 45-acre site, The Hive offers a wide range of event spaces, professional football pitches, hospitality areas and filming locations. The successful candidate will proactively sell these facilities, develop new client relationships and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.This is a target-driven role suited to someone who enjoys generating leads, building relationships, conducting viewings, negotiating agreements and closing sales.Key responsibilities
- Proactively sell The Hive’s event spaces for weddings, corporate events, conferences, private celebrations, funerals, proms and other functions.
- Promote The Hive as a filming and production location to production companies, location managers, agencies and broadcasters.
- Generate new football business, including regular block bookings, professional training sessions, academies, grassroots clubs, schools, universities, corporate teams and tournaments.
- Identify and approach prospective clients through telephone calls, email campaigns, networking, social media and face-to-face meetings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming enquiries.
- Conduct venue and site tours, presenting the facilities confidently and recommending the most suitable options.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and booking packages based on each client’s requirements.
- Follow up enquiries consistently and maintain an organised sales pipeline.
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved pricing and discount structures.
- Meet agreed weekly, monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build long-term client relationships to secure repeat bookings and referrals.
- Develop targeted campaigns to increase bookings during quieter periods.
- Maintain accurate client information, correspondence and sales activity within the company’s booking and CRM systems.
- Liaise with the Events, Operations, Finance, Football and Marketing teams to ensure a smooth handover of confirmed bookings.
- Attend relevant exhibitions, networking events and industry meetings when required.
- Provide regular reports on enquiries, conversion rates, confirmed revenue, pipeline value and future opportunities.
- Ensure deposits, contracts and all required booking information are obtained within the agreed timescales.
Candidate requirements
- Previous experience in sales, business development, venue hire, hospitality, events, filming, sport or a related sector.
- A strong track record of generating leads and converting opportunities into confirmed business.
- Confident telephone, email, presentation and face-to-face communication skills.
- Commercially aware, persuasive and comfortable negotiating.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working towards demanding sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building and customer-service skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with operational teams.
- Good IT skills and experience using CRM, booking or sales-management systems.
- A genuine interest in events, filming, football or venue sales would be advantageous.
Salary and working hours
- £30,000 per year.
- Tuesday to Saturday.
- 10:00am–7:00pm.
- Sunday and Monday off.
- The role is site-based at The Hive London.
