Job Description - Production Operative TWO SHIFT
SUMMARY
As part of a brake pad production team you will be working closely with colleagues in various stages of production to manufacture brake pads.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate various equipment and machinery to produce parts in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications.
- Maximise daily output in-line with targets, producing parts to set priorities to ensure high customer service levels are achieved.
- Count and inspect items, as per the details shown on the works order.
- Perform physical stock movements (does involve some heavy lifting).
- Preparing items for collection/delivery.
- Complete paperwork showing daily production.
- Any other duties as issued by the Production Manager.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Previous production, manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently in line with standard operating procedures and follow instructions.
- Experience in manual handling preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working hours: “Two shift” pattern Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 and Friday 06:00-13:00/13:00-20:00 (30 minute paid lunch break included). Total 39 hours per week.
