We are looking for an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Nursery Manager to join our established nursery team.

About the role
As Nursery Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of the nursery.
You will work closely with the Directors and senior leadership team while having the autonomy to lead your nursery and develop your staff team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating the nursery team
- Maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding
- Ensuring the nursery consistently meets the requirements of the EYFS
- Maintaining readiness for Ofsted inspection
- Supporting high-quality teaching, interactions and learning opportunities
- Monitoring children’s progress and ensuring appropriate support is provided where concerns arise
- Supporting children with SEND and working effectively with parents and external professionals
- Leading staff supervision, performance management and professional development
- Coaching and mentoring room leaders and practitioners
- Ensuring appropriate deployment of staff and maintaining statutory ratios
- Supporting effective recruitment, induction and staff retention
- Maintaining accurate nursery records and documentation
- Monitoring attendance, occupancy and nursery organisation
- Building positive, professional relationships with parents and families
- Ensuring parent concerns are addressed promptly and professionally
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, cleanliness and organisation throughout the setting
- Ensuring nursery policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Promoting a positive, professional and accountable staff culture
- Supporting continuous improvement across all areas of nursery provision
- Working closely with the Directors on the development of the setting

Essential requirements
Applicants should have:
- A minimum Level 3 recognised Early Years qualification
- Significant experience working within an early years setting
- Previous leadership or management experience within a nursery or early years environment
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of SEND within early years
- Experience supporting and developing staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality
- The ability to organise, prioritise and manage a busy nursery environment
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced Senior Room Leader with significant leadership responsibility would be welcomed.
