Job Description:
Owlsworth Roofing Ltd specialises in single-ply membrane flat roofing, with particular expertise in the Sika and Bauder systems.
With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, we have built a strong reputation for resolving complex flat roofing challenges and delivering solutions that balance performance, quality and budget.
We are now seeking a Junior Flat Roofing Estimator to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities, with support from the existing commercial team:
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine material, labour and associated costs.
- Prepare comprehensive, accurate and commercially competitive cost estimates that fully meet project specifications, client requirements and current legislation.
- Produce a clear and robust cost information pack at handover, including detailed cost comparisons and bills of quantities.
- Issue and manage variation orders for existing projects.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of estimates, quotations and tender submissions within the business systems.
- Work closely with the operations team on a day-to-day basis to support the delivery of business targets.
- Build, maintain and develop strong client relationships to secure repeat and additional business.
Requirements:
- Experience in flat roof estimating is essential (ideally 1 year or more).
- Professional, approachable and positive attitude, with the ability to work effectively as part of an office-based team.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Bluebeam.
- Understanding of design, construction and logistical considerations for both new build and refurbishment projects.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to commute sustainably to Caversham, Reading - this is an office-based first role.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
