Relief Gatehouse Security Officer – Bridlington
GuardWatch Security UK Limited is a long-established SIA Approved Contractor, providing professional security services across the UK.
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Relief Gatehouse Security Officer to join our team in the Bridlington area.
This is a relief position, primarily covering holidays, sickness and additional staffing requirements. Applicants must be flexible and available to work both day and night shifts when required.
Shift Pattern
- Day Shifts: 05:30 – 17:30
- Night Shifts: 17:30 – 05:30
- 12-hour shifts
- Relief cover based around the site's 4 days on / 4 days off rota
The Successful Candidate Must Have
- A valid, in-date SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- A full 5-year checkable employment and/or education history
- Good computer skills and confidence using electronic reporting systems
- A good command of the English language
- A professional, reliable and presentable manner
- Flexibility to cover days, nights, holidays, sickness and short-notice shifts where required
- Essential Driving Requirement
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HOLD A VALID DRIVING LICENCE AND HAVE YOUR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORT.
Due to the location of the site and the shift times of 05:30–17:30 and 17:30–05:30, public transport may not be suitable. You must be able to reliably travel to and from the site for every scheduled shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Control access to and from the site
- Greet visitors, staff and contractors professionally
- Record personnel and vehicle details and direct visitors appropriately
- Maintain a safe and secure environment
- Professionally prevent unauthorised persons from gaining access
- Provide support during emergencies and evacuations
- Professionally and sensitively monitor CCTV
- Conduct searches in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain effective control of keys and security equipment
- Conduct regular security patrols and provide a visible security presence
- Complete computer-based security records, reports and site documentation
