Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and specialised equipment
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and tear, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary
- Use hand tools and power tools to dismount and mount tyres efficiently and safely
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Assist with tyre repairs, including patching punctures and replacing valves
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Operate heavy lifting equipment to handle tyres safely during installation or removal
- Keep accurate records of tyre services performed for each vehicle
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as tyre levers, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting processes is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling tyres weighing up to 20kg or more
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential for all roles within the team
