As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will be expected to be patrolling the site in accordance with an agreed deployment strategy. You will be working closely with the Parking Enforcement Supervisor and Client to ensure efficient monitoring and enforcement of the site is achieved. Using the most recent equipment you will be expected to issue PCN's (Parking Charge Notices) to all vehicles which are in contravention of the parking regulations set out on site.
This is not your normal parking enforcement role, no two days are the same and a flexible mindset is essential to succeed.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Previous experience in handling difficult situations in a professional manner.
- The ability to communicate with residents and members of the public, often in demanding circumstances in a calm and assertive manner.
- The ability to deal with members of the public from all cultures and backgrounds in a diplomatic and professional manner.
- The ability to be resilient, as some interactions with offenders can become confrontational.
- The ability to defuse hostile situations in a professional manner.
- Must enjoy working in the outdoors and in all weather conditions
- The ability to work under pressure, independently or as part of a team and on own initiative to carry out the enforcement role.
- Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal
- Will be physically fit as you will be required to carry out foot patrol for prolonged periods.
You will be required to work up-to 22 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays), shifts will be between 7am - 8pm so flexibility for the role is essential.
