Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Baristato join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in line with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Engage with customers in a courteous manner to enhance their experience
Experience
- Previous barista experienceis desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role
- Knowledge of food safetystandards and procedures is preferred
- Experience in servingcustomers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Basic food preparationskills are beneficial
- Good time managementskills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to perform simple mathscalculations accurately for transactions and stock management
