Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Roofer to join our growing team, supporting the installation of renewable energy solutions across Suffolk and the surrounding areas. This role will involve carrying out roofing repairs, maintenance and roof preparation for Solar PV installations, as well as installing PV mounting systems and solar panels on both pitched and flat roofs.
The successful candidate will be a skilled roofer with a strong understanding of roofing practices, health and safety requirements, and working at height. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installations while ensuring excellent customer service and supporting the continued growth of our renewable energy projects.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of roofing issues on domestic properties.
- Install, replace and repair roof tiles, slates, felt, leadwork and cement work, including ridges and verges.
- Install Solar PV mounting systems and support the installation of Solar PV panels on pitched and flat roofs.
- Prepare materials and complete roofing projects from start to finish to a high standard.
- Ensure work areas are left clean, tidy and safe upon completion of every project.
- Use mobile job management software to receive, update and close work orders, including uploading photographs and job notes.
- Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues and project teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Follow company procedures and maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with installation teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and on schedule.
- Carry out any additional duties required to support the business and wider installation teams.
Requirements
- Proven roofing experience within domestic properties.
- Knowledge of Solar PV installations and MCS regulations.
- Experience installing or working with Solar PV mounting systems.
- Confident working at height and following safe working practices.
- Strong understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
- PASMA Certification.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, reliable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or a related discipline.
- NOCN PV Roofing qualification.
- Experience using mobile job management systems.
- Previous experience supporting renewable energy or retrofit projects.
