Blossom Lodge is a warm, friendly, and person-centred care home dedicated to providing exceptional residential, nursing, and dementia care. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative Activity Coordinator to join our dedicated team and help enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful activities and social engagement.
About the Role
As an Activity Coordinator, you will plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities that promotes residents' physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing. You will encourage participation while ensuring activities are tailored to individual interests, abilities, and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily group and one-to-one activities.
- Organise special events, celebrations, outings, and themed activity days.
- Encourage residents to remain active, independent, and socially engaged.
- Work closely with residents, families, and the care team to develop personalised activity plans.
- Maintain activity records and evaluate resident participation.
- Build positive relationships with local schools, community groups, entertainers, and volunteers.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with health and safety policies.
About You

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work occasional weekends and special events.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working in a care home, healthcare, community, or activities setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Understanding of person-centred care.
Desirable
- Experience supporting people living with dementia.
- Activity Coordinator qualification or relevant health and social care qualification.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
