We’re looking for a qualified electrician to support the installation and commissioning of a semi-permanent visitor centre project in the North East.
The project includes a series of interactive museum-style AV installations, including touchscreen interactives, projection mapping, multi-screen displays, audio, control hardware, LED lighting and fabricated exhibition units. The visitor centre is being designed as a five-year public-facing museum space for school groups, families and adult visitors.
We need support across Monday 10th August to Wednesday 12th August - 3 working days.
The role will include:
- Assisting with the installation and connection of LED tape within fabricated exhibition units
- Checking electrical safety of the installed AV and lighting setup during commissioning
- PAT testing / appliance testing where required
- Verifying safe power distribution, cable routing and isolation arrangements
- Supporting the AV team during final commissioning, snagging and handover
- Advising on any safety concerns before the installations are handed over for public use
You’ll need to be qualified, insured, practical on site, and comfortable working around AV equipment, fabricated units, low-voltage LED systems, plug-top powered equipment and public-facing exhibition environments.
Experience with museum, exhibition, visitor attraction, events, retail fit-out or AV installations would be ideal.
