Venue Manager – Ninety One Pub, Brick Lane
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Venue Manager to join the team at Ninety One Pub, a busy Brick Lane venue with a strong focus on drinks, food, live music, DJs and high-quality hospitality.
This is an ideal role for someone with strong pub or bar management experience who is ready to step into a more senior operational position. The successful candidate will be confident running busy services, leading teams, managing standards, understanding food and wet sales, and helping to drive the venue forward as a key destination on Brick Lane.
The role will involve working across evenings, weekends and event-led shifts, so experience in high-volume pubs, bars, live music venues or DJ-led spaces would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Lead, support and motivate the team during busy services and events
- Deliver excellent guest experiences across drinks, food and entertainment
- Manage bar operations, including service standards, stock control, cleanliness and presentation
- Work closely with the kitchen team to support and grow food sales
- Ensure strong communication between front of house, kitchen, security, events and senior management
- Handle guest feedback, complaints and operational issues professionally
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, health and safety, and licensing compliance
- Support staff training, development and performance management
- Help implement systems and processes that improve service, profitability and team performance
- Assist with events, live music nights and DJ-led programming where required
- Monitor sales, wage costs, stock usage and operational performance
Ideal Experience
- Previous experience as a Venue Manager, Assistant Manager, Bar Manager or strong Duty Manager in a busy pub, bar or hospitality venue
- Experience working in high-volume drinks-led environments
- Understanding of both wet sales and food sales
- Confident managing teams during busy evening and weekend services
- Knowledge of bar operations, stock control, licensing and health and safety standards
- Experience with live music, DJ-led events or late-night venues is desirable
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the floor
- Passion for hospitality, guest experience and building a strong venue culture
