Join a growing specialist automotive workshop
IceBlastPro is continuing to build its workshop team as demand for our specialist vehicle-preservation services grows.
We work on an exceptionally varied range of classic, performance, prestige and enthusiast-owned vehicles, carrying out detailed underbody cleaning, corrosion treatment and long-term protection.
We are now looking for another Vehicle Preservation Technician to join our established team.
You will work alongside our Preservation Manager, Workshop Manager, Project Coordinator and existing preservation technicians. You will not be expected to arrive knowing how to dry ice blast or to manage projects by yourself. Full training will be provided in our equipment, workshop processes and quality standards.
What matters most is that you are practical, dependable, comfortable working with vehicles and able to produce consistently careful work.
What the position involves
You will gradually be trained to carry out the complete vehicle-preservation process, including:
- Preparing vehicles and protecting sensitive areas
- Safely removing wheels, arch liners, undertrays and straightforward vehicle trims
- Learning specialist automotive dry ice blasting
- Inspecting cleaned areas and identifying anything requiring further attention
- Preparing and applying rust treatments
- Applying underbody, cavity and engine-bay protection products
- Photographing and checking completed work
- Carefully reassembling vehicles
- Following our digital workshop and quality-control processes
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
Previous dry ice blasting experience is not required.
Experience in mechanics, vehicle detailing, preparation, restoration, bodyshops, paint preparation, manufacturing or another practical technical environment would be useful, but attitude, reliability and attention to detail are equally important.
An established team around you
This is not a position where you will be left to work everything out alone.
Vehicle schedules and customer requirements are coordinated before the work reaches the workshop. The Preservation Manager oversees the customer and project requirements, the Workshop Manager controls day-to-day production and technical standards, and the Project Coordinator supports scheduling, documentation and workflow.
You will also work alongside other trained workshop technicians and will be introduced to each stage through a structured onboarding and competency programme.
Salary and progression
The starting salary is £35,000–£40,000, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated capability.
The higher end of the range is intended for applicants who already bring useful automotive, mechanical, restoration, bodyshop or specialist vehicle-preparation experience.
